The first home game is on Friday, after a shortened season last year with empty bleachers.
New Head Coach Tom Jessee is embracing his role after being the assistant coach for 28 seasons.
"Your opportunity to lead a terrific program. A program that has had tremendous success, and one that I personally have put a lot of time and effort into, and blood sweat and tears. The fact that I get to kinda lead the group is just an awesome feeling."
Covid is still a concern as players and coaches are required to wear masks unless playing in a game. Although most of the same policies are still in place, players who are fully vaccinated no longer have to get tested every week.
Four starters have returned including the teams two top scorers, Dan Carr and Carter Duwa. Coach Jessee is excited about the mix of veteran and young talent.
"We played I think five different freshman in our first game last Saturday. So, it's a really neat and fun combinaton of veteran and good young players."
Tip-off on Friday is at 7 PM, against Dubuque.
